In a world of impressionism, I like realism.
I will, often, crop a subject from a photo and try to capture the light, shapes and textures in oils.
By painting just a part of the whole, the story of just a single element within is revealed.

Bio:

I am an oil painter living in Midland.
For many years I carried a camera in hand, then started painting when I retired from nursing in 2004.
My goal is to capture either small details or local vistas in my paintings.
I have previously been in the Bay Studio Tour and several small shows, shops and restaurants locally.
Some of my paintings have found homes in Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, British Columbia, U.S., Switzerland, Scotland and Australia.
