Spending time in the landscape is an important part of my process. I like working with watercolour because it is an interactive medium, that responds in real-time to changes in water flow and temperature. It’s an exciting and challenging medium to work with, particularly when painting outdoors.

Bio:

Samantha is a watercolour artist based in Oro-Medonte, Ontario. Her paintings are expressive interpretations of local landscapes and shoreline scenes of Georgian Bay and Muskoka. With a background in fine art landscape photography, Samantha discovered an interest in painting with watercolour a few years ago, and continues to develop her skills in the medium. She attends workshops and now takes part in local exhibitions.
