Inspired by the beauty and design in nature, I see each piece of wood as a piece of art in its own right before I use it. I look to amplify its natural characteristics in my work.

Bio:

Growing up with two creative parents, Matt naturally became interested in exploring his own creativity at a young age. Also influenced by his (master carver) Grandpa Van’s love of wood, he combined this with his own love of guitar and built his first guitar when he was 15, sparking a lifelong journey learning everything he could about wood, lutherie, and custom woodwork. After highschool, Matt graduated from Lado Lutherie School where he honed his skills and has focused on building electric guitars as well as custom furniture and other creative wood endeavours for the last decade.
