Marlene Bulas” compositions are a product of “finding and framing” her new work. She often likes to do abstract paintings in acrylic on canvas. She loves the outdoors where she finds her inspiration, close to water, farms, sailboats, people and nature using very unique bold colors.
Marlene Bulas has been painting for over 24 years and has enjoyed every moment. As a child her mother would encourage her to draw and paint which was very special as her mom had studied with some of the Group of Seven as her teachers. After her children had been raised, she enrolled in the Georgian College Design and Visual arts program, followed by numerous art workshops in Canada and the US, France, Italy, Mexico and Ireland. She has been involved in group shows, solo shows and studio tours. Her paintings have been described as “bold and colorful with a very unique style”.
