Hilary paints in watercolours en pleinair, and oils/mixed media in the studio. Her work focuses on magical places in Ontario: Cliff tops, misty rivers and wide vistas, from Georgian Bay to Thunder Bay.
HILARY SLATER MLA, BEd, BA, AOCAD
Hilary Slater has been painting in watercolour, for over 40 years, and also paints in oils and mixed media. Her focus is pleinair painting on location in favourite locations: Kakabeka in Northern Ontario, Killarney Provincial Park, Georgian Bay, and Barron Canyon in Algonquin Park Hilary is also involved in the focus to save the world’s most pristine ground water from destruction by gravel companies in Tiny Township, where she lives. She donates proceeds from her annual art sales to this worthy cause.
