Basically I love to create! My paintings come from two worlds: the beauty of the Canadian landscape and my intuitive inner self expression. In creating thought-provoking and unique, non-objective artwork, I first begin with play and lots of experimentation with collage, colour, line, and shape.

Bio:

Originally from Northern Ontario Donna Montgomery now resides in Horseshoe Valley, Ontario. Art has always been a passion. As an active member of the Algoma Art Society Donna served as its president for two years. As an educator Donna earned her BA , B. Ed and a Visual Arts Specialist . Donna began painting  in oils then became intrigued with the unpredictability and challenge of watercolour.  Recently mixed media abstract art is now part of her creative direction. Her paintings have won awards in local art shows and juried exhibitions. She is currently a member of the Barrie Art Club.
