I refer to my style as “Realism with a Twist.” Painting mainly from photos, I try through my strokes to sharea the movement, strenght, and tenderness that prompted me to take that particular photo and have the viewer see what i saw. “Do You See What I See?”
Born and raised in Toronto, I have always enjoyed working with my hands and the sense of calm it brings to an overactive mind.
I took my first art class to meet others with similar interests. I was hooked and signed up for every workshop and seminar offered, joined studios and took many classes with visiting artists. I moved from decorative art to fine art; acrylics to oils and back to acrylics.
I enjoy painting large florals in acrylics with a limited palette while developing my skills in watercolour. My work has been in juried exhibitions at venues and tours in Toronto area as well as locally and north to Muskoka.
